Haha... tomorrow will be national day...
sigh, time passes so fast, its national day again.. in less than 2 months, will be the promos, and all hell will break lose...
ok, forget about promos for the time being, let's talk about national day... dunno why, everytime i sing the national day songs, i feel this stirring inside of me, i dunno y... haha, call me patriotic, but, the lyrics just seem to touch on certain issues that are just so true... Hey PAP, mebbe ur nationalistic campaigns have actually worked, at least for one person in singapore...

HOwever, jokes aside, i always feel very sad when people start to complain so much about everything in singapore... true, some things are very quite screwed up, but on the whole, we should come to realise that we are extremely fortunate to be able to live in such a prim and proper country. Of course, being human, we tend to think that the grass is always greener on the other side, that life in perhaps the US or Britain is much better with more freedom of speech, human rights or even chewing gum.. oh talking about this, i gotta mention this taxi driver i met, who kept on going about how he wants to go to australia becos of the wlefare system there, u dun need to work, u still get money for retirement, and how u can get cheap cars and land there.... sigh, i just wish to remind u that all that welfarism is paid for by whom? the people's pockets. THis would translate to higher taxes, and less money channeled into more relevant stuff, like education and health, etc... Right, mebbe we are a little capitalist state, where everyone is just so mercenary, but then, if not for this kiasu trait of ours, would we have survived til today?

I really enjoyed Neil Humphrey's books about singapore. it has really made me appreciate what singapore has been able to provide, despite all its apparent shortcomings... sigh, i fear that i;m gonna get alot of flak from people who hate singapore, so i'm gonna stop now... sigh.. goin crazy, can't help it.. haha...

Hello, i can't believe it... i'm so against bloggin, as i feel that its a waste of time, yet here i am, staring at this blank screen, wondering where the words u are looking at come from... i dun noe... sigh.. Its all your stupid fault, yihan, made me go and read all the blogs.. BUt i still hold by my statement that bloggin is a waste of time.. I wonder why so many people still bother to do it.. could it be that this is a modern wierd, open form of a diary? Or is it such that in this modern stupid freakin perverse society, humans are just unable to communicate with one another openly now, and that our only avenue to express our feelins is thru the com, and hope that somewhere out there, there would be someone reading what u feel, and actually feeling for you... i dunno.. the world is just screwed up...
